Hyundai Venue Latest Update: Hyundai has revealed that its upcoming sub-4 metre SUV, the Venue, will feature some segment-first connectivity features such as a eSIM, app-based ignition, AC start up. The Hyundai Venue is the production name of the Carlino concept that was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo. It will be showcased in its production guise on 17 April 2019 in India as well as at the New York International Auto Show. Hyundai is expected to launch the Venue in India in May 2019.
Engine Options:
The Hyundai Venue is likely to be powered by a choice of three engine: There could be a pair of 1.4-litre petrol and diesel engines that power other cars in Hyundai’s portfolio such as the Verna, Creta and the Elite i20. The other engine is likely to be a new 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol unit paired with a dual clutch automatic transmission.
Features:
Being a Hyundai, the Venue is expected to be feature-loaded. So expect it to pack wireless mobile charging, cruise control, auto climate control, push button start/stop, touchscreen infotainment system and a sunroof, at least in the top variant.
Rivals:
The Hyundai Venue will lock horns with the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra XUV300 and the Honda WR-V.
